At Osteo Wellness Studio, eligible patients referred under a GP Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan can receive osteopathic treatment that is billed directly to Medicare, meaning there is nothing to pay at the time of your appointment.
We believe high-quality healthcare should be accessible, and we're proud to offer this service to eligible patients.

Am I Eligible?
You may be eligible if your GP determines that you have:
✔ A chronic medical condition (generally one that has been present, or is expected to be present, for 3-6 months or longer)
✔ A condition that would benefit from allied health treatment as part of your overall care
Eligibility is determined entirely at your GP's discretion.
You must book an appointment with your GP to discuss whether a Chronic Disease Management Plan is appropriate for you and obtain the referral.

Description text goesA Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan is a Medicare initiative that allows eligible patients to access subsidised allied health services as part of the management of long-term health conditions.
Your GP will assess whether you meet the eligibility criteria and, if appropriate, provide a referral for osteopathic treatment. here

Your appointment may include:
✔ A comprehensive assessment
✔ Hands-on osteopathic treatment
✔ Education about your condition
✔ Individualised home exercises
✔ Clinical Pilates-informed rehabilitation where appropriate
✔ A personalised management plan tailored to your goals

For eligible patients attending under a valid GP Chronic Disease Management referral:
There is no payment required at your appointment.
Appointments are billed directly to Medicare, so there are no upfront costs for eligible patients.

For Medicare-funded appointments, yes.
Your GP must provide a valid Chronic Disease Management referral.
Private appointments do not require a referral.

Eligible patients may receive up to five Medicare-funded allied health appointments per calendar year, shared across all eligible allied health providers.
For example, if you've already used two sessions with a physiotherapist, you may have three remaining to use with an osteopath or another eligible provider.
The number of sessions you receive is at your GP’s discretion, they may allocate 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 sessions.

Your GP determines which allied health providers are appropriate for your care, and osteopathy is one of the professions that can be included under a Chronic Disease Management Plan.
